Urine is concentrated in a thin, looped tube. The filtered blood is then returned to the heart in the veins. The urine then empties into the last part of the nephron called the collecting duct. Urine flows through ureters to the bladder. It is stored there until it is released through the urethra.

During digestion, material that cannot be digested is moved to the large intestine. In the large intestine, water is removed from the material and it becomes solid.
