Another illness that affects the brain is Alzheimer’s disease. This disease strikes older people, causing them to become forgetful. Alzheimer’s disease weakens and kills brain cells. Over time, the person loses his or her mental powers of reasoning and becomes confused. There is no cure yet for Alzheimer’s.
